Last Friday I was delighted to give a talk on the Tenby born artist Augustus John to the Tenby Arts Club. I had knowledge of John due to my previous life as curator but the talk involved months of really enjoyable research into both his peripatetic and somewhat unorthodox lifestyle and also into his portraits for which he is probably best known in the art world. It was fascinating to further discover the waxing and waning of his artistic career. Thanks to the Arts Club for inviting me and to the audience for turning up on what was a bitingly cold evening! I am available for more talks to please visit the Talks page on this website for further details or contact me directly to have a chat.
